About Us

Western Spirit’s shooting preserves were created in 1999 for a handful of outdoor enthusiasts living in the Sun Valley, Idaho area. WSI has two Idaho State Fish & Game licensed shooting preserves in Idaho. One is 12 miles southeast of Fairfield and the other is a few miles west of Shoshone. Both preserves are loaded with thousands of our stocked pheasants, chukar, and quail. We buy and release only certified, hard-flying gamebirds from the best breeders in Southern Idaho. Pheasant, Chukar, and Quail can be hunted from August 15th to April 15th.

We have been described as a "first class operation" by several of our hunters and we strive to give you the best possible experience each and every time you come hunting with us. We release a large number of upland gamebirds for each hunt which increases the bag numbers substantially. WSI is one of the few Upland Gamebird Shooting Preserves that offers Upland Gamebird Guides. Our Guides are licensed under our Idaho State Outfitters license. We also provide dogs but hunters are welcome to bring their own. For more information or what we have to offer, call 1-208-934-5325.
